More game show action today as I filmed for an episode of Brain Box Challenge to be shown on the BBC2 next year. I'm not allowed to discuss the outcome but can recomend watching the show for anyone who is into mind games and will enjoy playing along at home.

Yesterday I saw my first gig in London for about 10 years. I went to see the Manics at Brixton Acadamy. It's astonishing to think how long this band have been going now. There debut single came out in 1989! Yet still there gigs always have a feeling like no other. Maybe it's because the band a steeped in so much history or maybe it's the sense of belonging felt when a crowd of people are screaming the chorus to Motown Junk. Nicky made some touching comments about Richey and the times he spent with him they were swapping make up in a London Hotel Room. James is still the sexiest rock star ever, even during his fat phase and being 38. There is always a feeling at the back of my band that the bands heart isn't in it as much any more. James even commented on Stage that he didn't like the 'There By The Grace Of God' single and how anyone can justify charging £26 for a long sleeve t-shirt is beyond me, but I know full well I will be going to watch this band for as long as they last with audiences that get increasingly older and several teenagers in need of icons that the current sterile music scene just can't provide.

Great Charity Shop Purchases part 238. A bubble machine for £1.49. All I need now is to find the right consistence for bubble mix and The Air Freshener Man's live show will have bubbles in it. Wonder if I can add food colouring?

Traveling to York and back yesterday it felt like Christmas. Not in the sense that everyone was in a cheerful mood and lights. no in the sense there was abosultely no where to sit so had to huddle up in the corner by the door. Are there just not the extra carridges to add to busy trains?
