Following the gig I played on wednesday I managed to break 2 of my strings. Probably caused by playing guitar with my feet. Eiother way it meant I finally had to replace the strings on my guitar. Something I normally avoid doing as I've got used to dull sound that mucky strings create. After restringing this morning it's been a pain trying to get used to playing as my guitar sounds very very different. Still they'll get mucky again soon enough.

Went out tonight with Housemate to gay places which I normally avoid though disliking the whole idea of living in a self contained ghetto. We had to go to Queens Court earlier to meet one my house mates friends. A place I managed to make bareable with a game of Eye-Spy. I stumped lesbians by spying 'perspex'. We then went to the new indie gay night at the cockpit. One of my primary reasons for avoiding gay places is the music. I was worried that this night would be as indie as Razorlight but music wise it was like any cockpit night so that was ok. Both my self and my housemate spotted men we liked and rather than talking to folk ourselves we resorted to the far less impressive playground game of 'excuse me, my mate fancies you'. Both the men we liked were straight. We were both disapointed.

More completed missions in life. I own a laminator. I've wanted one for many many many years and now I do. I can laminate my biography and use it as a poster to promote gigs etc. It also means I can laminate all the set lists i've collected over the years and make them a bit more permanant. This all makes me very happy.

It's new shoe day again. I've deliberatly bought the ones that look softest inside so not to rip my feet up like before. been wearing them around the house and so far my feet haven't fallen apart.

I've not long got in after my first out of Leeds gig. Reaction went really well in terms of comments people made to me. Golden lesson learnt though; When chatting to folk from other bands and you pass comment about people leaving without watching the other bands, make sure they have actually gone and are not just going outside because of the smoking ban. Otherwise passing comment makes you look a complete idiot for which you then spend rest of the evening apologising for.
