First there was a day many many years ago when I first solved a numbers game on Countdown. Many years later I solved a Countdown Conundrum with the answer 'Potholing'. Over time there have been many little acheivements of a great magnetude such as the first time I won a game of 'Trans America'. Well today I get to tick of another thing from the list. I sucessfully completely a Killer Sudoku. admitidly it was the easiest level but that isn't going to deter me from celebrating!

Since moving house we had kittens which house mates name Ghengis and Zidane. Here is Ghengis (or possibly Zidane) climbing on top on a matress against a wall behind a wardrobe. Since this event I'm having to get into the practice of shutting windows and stopping cats escape. So far Erika, my spider, has been safe!. hopefully I can train the cats to catch escaped crickets.

I'm currently on a weeks holiday. For my holiday I've come visiting relatives in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, my old home town before Leeds and before Scarborough. The empty building you see here used to be Martin's Records. This was where I bought all my first CD's from up untill about 1999. I would guess about 30% of all the CDs I own came from here. In the summer we used to play a game of trying to find a band Martin hadn't heard of. He generally did very well. I don't know why the shop isn't there anymore. I heard rumour he took to selling online. But people who buy online arn't going to get a carrier bag with an (0530) phone number on years after '1' became the second digit of landline numbers. This is another sign of becoming old and life moving on and more reason I need to do more music now before it's too late. I will now never have the chance to return to Ashby and sign my own CD's in Martin's Records.

Firstly the move went well. I even did a very good job of unpacking and sorting things out as you can see here from the lovingly sorted shelf of soft toys. However lack of my own internet began to take hold and I bought a copy of Civilisation IV to keep my occupied. It did a fantastic job of keeping me distracted from any actual sorting out of anything.
