On it's own a home made Portuguese Corn Bread isn't that exciting. However this does mark the moment I'm now 20% of my way through the recipes in my bread recipe book. In my cupboard I now have 8 types of flour and 4 different types of sugar.

I went to see Shout Out Louds at Cockpit and was wondering
when it became acceptable for a headline band at the Cockpit to play a set lasting just shy of 40 mins and charge £7.50 for the privilege. Especially when the set is made up of precisely 2 songs that were available and the rest of the set plugging new material.
The singer did say one of them was ill during his encore on his own but to be honest i would sooner they had cancelled the show and played a proper length set and not a set like that that all sounded a bit tired.

my coat has a gaping hole in it and all my trousers are falling apart. So I head to the corn Exchange where I previously got my coat from only to find that since all the renovations almost all of the shops of vanished as well.
I then looked around most of leeds unable to find either a coat I liked or trousers with zipz on the pockets. hmm.

I'm on step closer to being able to see a dentist for the first time in about 9 years. I've got sent a letter confirming I can join so I just need to make an appointment. The also sent me a questionaire to fill in and take back which came across as some kind of psychological test rather than a medical questionaire. I can honestly say I never sat down and though of answers to questions like "Are you self concious about your teeth when you smile?" or "Do you wish your teeth were shaped differently?". Surely they should ask, "what cosmetic surgury would you like us to do on the NHS?"

Which of the following is more annoying. is it A) losing on of the plastic bits on the end of head phones so they fit in your ear.
B) Trailing around all the shops in Leeds for everyone to tell you that no where sells them on there own.
C) To then be told the only place you can get them is online
D) To then be told that you can find them on the Market but then have to go through several Mobile Phones Shops to find them
or E) a few days after come across the origional packaging that your Phone came in complete with spare rubber bits for headphones.

Can any bread justify taking 4 days to make? I'm currently trying to make a Pain de Campange Rustique. The first part of maknig it is to mix a small amount of whole meal flour with water, then leave it for 2 days. I've had to plan when to make this bread around my rota. I started it yesterday and will continue tomorrow.

Today is the day I turn 10000 days old. I can't remember when I worked this date out, or more to the point why. I'm even slightly doubtful if my calculations I used (and verified with online) used my birthday as day one or day zero. As turning 10000 days old is a fairly uncelebrated anniversary I decided today would be a brilliant day to do a gig with cake and balloons and general merriment. Sadly I have spent that past several days ill with an ear infection causing severe dizziness if I move around to quickly. Sunday and Monday I spent all day in bed. So Sadly tonights gig won't have balloons and lots of silliness. However I think this gives me an excuse to over compensate from here on in.......
